With over 40 years of experience in telecom and civil construction, Bernie is a recognized leader in network deployment, equipment design, and innovation. He managed thousands of kilometres of OSP construction, including along active railways and municipal corridors. Formerly VP of Ledcor’s Telecom Construction group, Bernie also founded Tier2 Technologies, later acquired by AFL. He launched Round 2 to support AFL’s FTTH program and continues to lead R&D efforts that advance telecom infrastructure across Canada.

Shane brings 40+ years of combined field, construction management, and executive leadership in diverse sectors such as public infrastructure, telecommunications, mining and oilsands. Known for managing complex, multi-discipline projects across Canada, he is respected for his integrity, strategic insight, and long-standing work with Indigenous communities. His decades-long partnership with Bernie Stene forms the foundation of Round 2’s commitment to delivering exceptional network deployments and client-focused service.
