With over 40 years of experience in telecom and civil construction, Bernie is a recognized leader in network deployment, equipment design, and innovation. He managed thousands of kilometres of OSP construction, including along active railways and municipal corridors. Formerly VP of Ledcor’s Telecom Construction group, Bernie also founded Tier2 Technologies, later acquired by AFL. He launched Round 2 to support AFL’s FTTH program and continues to lead R&D efforts that advance telecom infrastructure across Canada.

Shane Yamamoto - President

Shane brings 40+ years of combined field, construction management, and executive leadership in diverse sectors such as public infrastructure, telecommunications, mining and oilsands. Known for managing complex, multi-discipline projects across Canada, he is respected for his integrity, strategic insight, and long-standing work with Indigenous communities. His decades-long partnership with Bernie Stene forms the foundation of Round 2’s commitment to delivering exceptional network deployments and client-focused service.

Scott McGarty - General Manager

With over 30 years of expertise in the Telecommunications and Oil and Gas industries, he has a proven track record of driving execution excellence in major deployment programs. Throughout his career, Scott has held senior positions at prominent companies, including 360networks, Bell Canada, Group Telecom, and Ledcor. His leadership and strategic insights have been instrumental in fostering growth and innovation within these organizations, positioning him as a key player in the support of sustainable revenue focused growth.

Pete McLeod - Construction Manager

Pete is highly skilled and accomplished professional with 25 + years of experience in all aspects of OSP, Telco Construction. He has a demonstrated ability to complete large scale, capital projects on time and within budget. In addition, Pete has a proven track record of successfully managing projects over $50M. Execution success with directing staff in a manner that optimizes safety, quality, efficiency and budget ensures his clients have the highest level of satisfaction upon completion.

Han J. Kim, MBA - Vice President, Finance

Han brings 30 years of finance experience and over 20 years of construction industry experience. Having completed over $2B in deal flow with local, national, and international clients, ensuring that the company manages its cashflow and stays on budget on its projects is always a top priority. Controls, processes, procedures, and incentives within a construction company’s DNA will allow for proper reporting.  With this accurate information, key decision have been made in the best interest of the company.

Sylvain Ruest - Project Manager

Sylvain has experience managing large-scale multidisciplinary industrial projects. He is determined to build strong relationships with clients and to exceed their expectations by working together towards completing projects on budget and schedule. Sylvain’s strong business acumen was developed through hands on experience and through extensive education. His Business Administration Diploma – Supply Chain Management & Logistics from Red River College is complemented by his courses completed at Simon Fraser University’s Beedie School of Business.

Aaron Stene - Operations Manager

Aaron has led telecom and civil construction projects across Canada, including work for major providers like Shaw, Telus, and SaskTel. His expertise spans fiber installation, directional drilling, trenching, plowing, and cable placement services. Aaron’s ability to manage teams, resources, and timelines makes him a key contributor to project success. His operational oversight ensures each build is carefully planned, executed, and completed with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
